Tab Trade — The Short Version
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It means the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, the breadth is broad.
Platforms
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly coming. That would be a good addition once it is live.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The execution is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and what you get is strong. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
Here is the thing that matters. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If that makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does be part of your decision.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it is your call.
The Bonus
Tab Trade has a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You fund your account, they top up your balance. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before funding.
