TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

Tab Trade — The Short Version

Tab Trade went live in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background tells you something. It suggests the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.

What You Trade On

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will round things out when it arrives.

Accounts and Pricing

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Skip it unless you move real size.

Execution Speed

The execution is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.

Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Here is the part that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It does factor into your decision.

The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.

The Bonus

Tab Trade has a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You deposit, they top up your balance. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
